Sign Excellence began as Sign Exchange in 1958. It was founded in North Hollywood, California by the Molidor family and remained a small family run business until it was sold in 1983. The next two decades established Sign Exchange as the preferred signage company for parking facilities in the Greater Los Angeles area. Sign Exchange continued its steady growth in size, expertise and reputation primarily through referrals and word-of-mouth.

Originally known to be the premier parking signage company in Southern California, in 2001 the company progressed into a full service signage and graphics company expanding its capabilities into custom architectural signs, illuminated signs and sign structure elements. Our client base has far outgrown the parking industry and now includes major building owners and managers, retail and restaurant establishments, financial institution and major corporations.

In 2011, Sign Exchange became Sign Excellence. Now located in Sun Valley California, our new company vision has far outgrown the limitations that restricted the former company’s capabilities.

Unchanged throughout the five decades is the continuing attitude that considers our clients deserving of our honest and true efforts, and that they are the only properly served not by simply supplying them with sign products but with signage solutions.

Even in today’s economic climate, we have stayed true to the belief that our customers look for value rather than just a low price in selecting their signage company. We continue to strive to be the value leader and not the price leader by providing the following value strategies with our service.

We believe in fair pricing and we never “nickel and dime” our customers. Our goal is to make our customers happy. We have redone signs on many occasions without charging the customer even when the mistake is on the customer’s side.

While we strive at excellence in everything that we do, we are not perfect and sometimes fall short of our goals.
